Who doesn’t love to enjoy their favorite winter sports and have a view?

Come ski the East and head on over to the Camden Snow Bowl located on Barnestown Road in Camden, Maine. Enjoy your favorite winter sports with a view of the sea for only $33.00 a day. (Military, Student, & cheaper tickets are available) Enjoy the Camden Snow Bowl’s brand new triple chair lift, new trails, and all of the amenities they have to offer for your convenience. Rentals are available if needed and there is lodging near by to have a close commute to get all of your winter needs in. The Snow Bowl is open five days a week whether you are a night person or a day person they make their hours convenient for you. Since 1963 the Camden Snow Bowl has been the place to be.




Winter in Camden has so many different activities for people of all ages to enjoy.

Enjoy a week-long celebration with a fun filled atmosphere with all types of activities located all around Camden. The celebration includes indoor and outdoor activities with something for everybody to enjoy. As you drive down Elm Street in Camden be sure to keep an eye out for the massive snow sculptures that are carved with artistic skills and love in the Village Green. As you make your way down Main Street be sure to find a parking spot to walk up to the Camden Public Library and check out all of the awesome events going on there. Just nearby are Ice sculptures, Ice skating, sledding in the park, hot coco and more! On Friday be sure to check out the snow plow parade and fireworks in the evening looking over the Camden harbor. The next morning be sure to get up early and head on out to the Camden Snow Bowl located on Barnestown Road to check out the Toboggan Nationals which will be happening for the next two consecutive days. There are FREE shuttles available if needed and they pick up all over Camden. Camden Winterfest is held on the first week of February every year and there is no weather limitations for the celebration.



Enjoy an afternoon cross country skiing or snowshoeing through Merryspring Nature Park located in Camden, Maine. As you snowshoe or cross country ski through the fields enjoy your view of the snowy covered hills that are slowly starting to melt. You can spot prints in the snow and see where others have been. Merry Spring is located on 66 acres of land and have over 10 active trails you can go through no matter what season. Don’t worry about having gear with you if you are in need of gear head on down to Maine Sport Outfitters and rent some for an affordable price to accommodate your needs.


Wake up early on Easter morning and drive or hike up Mt Battie located in Camden. Join a group of people on the mountain for a sunrise service provided by Chestnut Street Baptist Church which is free for anyone to join whether from Maine or not. Before heading down the mountain make sure to climb up into the old stone castle and take a view at Mid-Coast Maine from the top. When finished head on down to Chestnut Street in Camden and join CSBC for an Easter breakfast which is free for all to join as well.



    Memorial day is a big time in Camden. Camden offers the memorial parade which also has a remembrance service at the Mountain Street cemetery. As the local Camden Hills band members play their instruments and draw attention to the parade you feel a sense of community. The parade is filled with local businesses, workforce people, teenagers, grade school students, and everyone of all ages. The whole community invites everyone to enjoy and celebrate memorial day while remembering those that have served our community as a one.



Drive down to Rockland and take a mile walk out to the Rockland Breakwater which leads to a light house. At the end of this stone pathway you can take a tour and learn about the history of the light house. Enjoy the ocean breeze on your face as you walk out and enjoy the scenic views of the wide open ocean. On your way back make sure to look for golf balls from the local Samoset Resort Country Club.




Head on down to the local French and Brawn and purchase your BBQ favorites for a day spent at the lake. Megunticook Lake offers charcoal grills, a view of a mountain, a small beach area for the kids, and a grass area for you to sunbathe while you enjoy the Independence Day. The lake also offers a boat launch for your boating needs. Everything is free as this is a public beach open to the public. Finish the evening off with Fireworks over the Camden harbor.



Travel eight miles from Camden  to the town of Rockland and enjoy the local Lobster Festival. This week long event has something for everyone whether a lobster lover or not. Take a tour boat out to Marine ship and explore how they live on the ship. Make sure to visit the festival to get all your local favorites, enjoy the shows, and visit the Maine atmosphere. There is free shuttle to this event and prices vary on the day of visitation to the festival.



Visit Camden for the first weekend in September and check out the local Camden Windjammer Festival. Enjoy maritime heritage and learn how the locals survive in their living conditions on their windjammer. Elegant windjammers have defined the vibrant community of Camden for over four decades. Watch the windjammers as they maneuver into the harbor at all times in the day and watch the shows the crews put on for you. In the evening head on over to the harbor park and listen to live music as the fireworks set off over the harbor.  On Saturday be sure to sign up for the annual lobster crate race and be sure to enjoy a cup of chowder from the annual Chowder Challenge that takes place every year.



Fall is an awesome time to get out of the house and have a fun time with the family.

Head on over to Miller Farm for a day fun filled day with inexpensive activities for people of all ages. Established since 1921 Miller Farm has something to offer for everyone. You can enjoy apple picking, pumpkin picking, hayrides, and Mr. Miller’s organic market that offers some of Mr. Miller’s fresh harvested vegetables, and fruits. The organic market also offers local honey, apple cider, and maple syrups. Miller Farm is opened 10AM to 5PM Monday through Saturday.

Who doesn’t love to celebrate Christmas while having a view of the ocean?

Celebrate the holidays with Camden’s Christmas by the Sea. A night filled with holiday sales, dining specials, a community tree lighting, hot coco, a nativity scene, and so much more. Celebrate your Christmas spirit with locals and visitors of all ages as you view the golden lighten star on Mt. Battie. The star has been a Camden tradition for over forty years and makes Camden shine so much brighter at night. Enjoy A Walk Through Bethlehem at Chestnut Street Baptist Church and experience the first Christmas. Follow the villagers around the town of Bethlehem. Listen to the stories of villagers and learn how Christmas became. When finished head on over to the Camden Opera house for the Nutcracker or take a sleigh ride through Camden.
